You will be:

*Overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the restaurant
*Fostering and maintaining a safe and positive work environment for your team that encourages efficiency and growth
*Ensuring consistent standards of food quality and guest satisfaction
*Working with the Executive Chef to learn new recipes, ensuring they are to the specifications as outlined in the company’s recipe guide
*Monitoring and maintaining food and labour targets to meet goals, including sales and community initiatives
*Ensuring all staff are in compliance to appropriate safe food-handling procedures as per the Vancouver Coastal Health Guidelines
*Providing additional support to your team when required, such as jumping on a station and supporting the line to expedite lunch and/or dinner services
*Interviewing and hiring for all positions within your team
*Providing orientations, ongoing training and development opportunities, and performance reviews for your team
*Providing disciplinary action and performance management when warranted
*Creating schedule templates, forecasted labour, and sales tracking
*Maintaining kitchen systems and timelines for ordering, food production, station pars, equipment maintenance and opening/closing duties of all back of house staff
*Submitting daily orders for prepared food items from the Production Kitchen
*Performing and submitting bi-weekly inventories
*Maintaining accurate and up-to-date recipes and records
*Creating invoice reports, payroll and inventory for the accounting department
*Planning for and participating in weekly meetings with the Operations team
*Other duties as required

To be qualified for this role, you will have:

*A minimum of 4 years of culinary experience in a fast-paced, high volume & professional kitchen environment
*A minimum of 2 years in a leadership role managing 5+ employees in both front of house and back of house
*Food Safe Certification(s) and Serving it Right
*Proven cooking Ability, excellent knife skills, and a seasoned palate
*A strong, positive, and supportive leadership style
*Culinary Arts or Red Seal Certification considered an asset
*A demonstrated passion for soulful food, people, and the restaurant industry
*The personal skills of being a self-starter, flexible, and the ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
*Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
*Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize
*Ability to work evenings and weekends according to the needs of the business

To be qualified for this role, you will have:
