You will be:

*Overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the restaurant
*Fostering and maintaining a safe and positive work environment for your team that encourages efficiency and growth
*Ensuring consistent standards of food quality and guest satisfaction
*Working with the Executive Chef to learn new recipes, ensuring they are to the specifications as outlined in the company’s recipe guide
*Monitoring and maintaining food and labour targets to meet goals, including sales and community initiatives

To be qualified for this role, you will have:

*A minimum of 4 years of culinary experience in a fast-paced, high volume & professional kitchen environment
*A minimum of 2 years in a leadership role managing 5+ employees in both front of house and back of house
*Food Safe Certification(s) and Serving it Right
*Proven cooking Ability, excellent knife skills, and a seasoned palate
*A strong, positive, and supportive leadership style
*Culinary Arts or Red Seal Certification considered an asset
*A demonstrated passion for soulful food, people, and the restaurant industry

What the Accountant & Payroll Administrator will do:
-Prepare general ledger journal entries, including accruals, monthly recurring entries, and adjustments
-Accounts Payable data entry, review for accurate coding, and ensuring all receipts have been received
-Bank, credit card, and other GL account reconciliations
-Review and enter daily sales reports generated from POS systems
-Assist in period-end close and reporting
-Financial administrative tasks as required
-GST and PST reconciliation and remittances
-Maintain appropriate employee records, files, and documentation
-Assist in other ad hoc duties as assigned

Payroll
-Process bi-weekly payroll for all Tacofino locations
-Respond to employee and manager inquiries regarding payroll
-Reconciliation of all accrued vacation to the general ledger on a quarterly basis
-Participate in the reconciliation of payroll accounts for period and month-end
-Participate in regular payroll audits to guarantee the accuracy of data and ensure policies and procedures are fairly and accurately administered

Benefits Administration
-Working with leaders to ensure they have a strong understanding of the benefits plan and eligibility requirements
-Processing benefits when received by the location leaders
-Providing a digital benefits information package to newly enrolled team members
-Processing co-pay amounts every month for hourly team members
-Reconciling benefits every month to ensure billing is correct
-Conducting a quarterly audit of benefits at each location to ensure all plan members are meeting eligibility requirements
-Supporting the creation of campaigns to help people better understand the benefits as offered by Tacofino
